Experience of Time

One might also wonder in idle moments:

Why is it that man often experiences time as moving ponderously slow? Unlike a dream sequence, a lifetime may be felt as stretched out into an extremely long period, often filled with apparently mundane events. If divinity is a reality, what purpose could this arrangement serve?

Time stretches Being, so that Being may discover more of itself.

Imagine if you will, a deflated balloon with a beautiful and complex pattern etched on its surface. On inflating this balloon, the patterns on its surface are given better definition. The more the balloon expands, the more expressive and detailed is the perceived pattern.

Being focuses on fragments of itself, and stretches them through Time, so that it may discover more, experience, work with, and paint itself anew. It is an opportunity to experience and even change the very fabric of being at the finest levels. A fragment of Being experiencing itself stretched out in Time may find things ponderously slow moving, but it has the great opportunity to understand, change and re-pattern itself. Somewhat like the human body that improves muscle definition as it works out, so does Being explore and develop itself in Time.

When fragmentation is progressively lost at higher levels, so is the perception of time. A whole lifetime appears but a brief span to the higher self. At  higher levels, the dictum of the scriptures hold: "a thousand years is but one year".

At even higher levels, there is timelessness, or rather, the incredible all-time.
